One of the goals of the centre is to create and propose changes in university curricula, e.g. by:

• integration of the centre of excellence with doctoral school programs run at the Faculty of Geography and Geology and preparation of a long-term framework for joint doctoral programs within and outside the consortium, creating opportunities to develop T-shaped skills, i.e. a broad understanding of human-environmental system issues combined with deep specialization in a given field,

• preparing a framework for research-oriented Master's programs in English (the so-called Research Master), attracting ambitious foreign students and increasing student involvement in research projects, in order to attract students oriented towards scientific careers and provide prospective candidates for doctoral studies.
